SundayCommunion

Sunday morning

Our Sunday morning service takes place at 10.30am each Sunday, and all are welcome. On the first Sunday in each month this takes the form of an All Age Service, and we usually do not celebrate communion during that service. For each of the other Sundays the service takes the form of Morning Worship and includes communion. On most Sundays, the worship time is led by one of our members. On one Sunday each month this part of the service is ‘open worship’ with contributions from the congregation making the service.
We share communion together as Jesus and his followers did, to remind ourselves of His sacrifice for us. We welcome all christians to our fellowship, members and visitors alike and invite you to share together with us in communion.

The regular pattern is broken during the summer school holiday period.

Sunday School and TCK

On Sunday mornings (when there is no All Age Service) the children and young people up to the age of 16 leave the main service for their own time in the ‘Old’ Chapel. There are two classes which have to cater for ages from pre-school to 16 years.

Ballingham Chapel has a child protection policy it follows, and is registered with CCPAS (Churches’ Child Protection Advisory Service). All volunteers working with children and young people and vulnerable adults are CRB checked.

Sunday Evenings

On the first Sunday of the month (except August) we hold an Evening Worship and communion service at 6.30pm. The worship is usually led by one of our members, and on occasion may be abbreviated so that there is time for a visiting or local speaker.

The Sunday evening (3rd Sunday) slot will typically have a speaker; be a discussion or a debate; watch a film together; be a fellowship time.

During the summer school holiday period there is no evening service at Chapel most weeks. Instead, various activities are arranged.

It will be obvious from this that you need to see the planner to sort out what is happening when. You can see the current week’s diary by clicking here, or if you are a member you can go to the Members pages and you can view/download the current planner for the month.
Arrangements can also change in December and again checking the planner becomes a necessity.
